 St Vincent de Paul Society

Members of the Society of St.Vincent de Paul (or “Vincentians” ) are men and women who strive to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to individuals in need. We are young and old. Some of us are wealthy, some are financially poor, but all of us are blessed with an awareness that our blessings (time, talent or treasure) are to be shared with our brothers and sisters in need.

Our conference has volunteer opportunities in several areas including:
Home Visits
Call Screening
Fund Raising

For information contact George Vaughan, 505-388-2479, extension 802

St. Labre Mission

The homeless throughout our region are the “Forgotten Ones”. In Albuquerque last year, according to the New Mexico Coalition to End Homelessness, there were approximately 619 homeless individuals staying in shelters, 408 staying in transitional housing, and 144 sleeping outside or in a place not meant for human habitation. This includes both adults and children. Many are also unaware that Albuquerque has its’ own homeless tent city, located along 1st St. SW between Coal Ave. and Iron Ave. The number of tents seen day-to-day depends on weather conditions.  Our parish is starting a homeless outreach program called the ‘St Labre Mission’.  St. Labre Mission is launching in January 2015, and needs volunteers to make this pilot program a success.  Read more about St Labre Mission here…
